This was another asset I created while trying to define a unique toon style. I wanted to pay homage to the blue USPS mail drop boxes that used to line the streets when I was a child, and seemed to die off entirely in my teenage years (just like my hopes and dreams!). I stuck to red, because I was pretty sure that the US government held a copyright on those boxes and lawsuits suck, but I think that the cherry red metal makes it pop much more. I made the doors separate objects that can open, because I built it with the vision of players actually dropping stuff into the slot and a mail collection character coming around every morning to collect it.
Mesh at 976 triangles.
